Do you handle permits?
Yes. Freedom Design & Remodel manages the permitting process for all projects that require permits. We work with local building departments to ensure full code compliance.
How long does a typical remodel take?
Timelines vary by scope. Bathrooms: 1–3 weeks. Kitchens: 3–6 weeks. Larger projects vary. We provide a clear schedule at project start.
What is your remodeling process?
Four phases: Consult, Design, Build, Freedom. We keep you informed at every step and don't sign off until you're fully satisfied.

About Jose
My name is Jose Padilla, and I'm the founder of Freedom Design and Remodel, a veteran-owned residential remodeling company proudly serving homeowners throughout San Diego County.
Before entering the construction industry, I served in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned the values that still guide how I run this company today: discipline, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to the mission. Those same principles are applied to every remodeling project we take on.
After my military service, I dedicated myself to the construction and remodeling industry. Over the past 10+ years, I've worked across multiple trades and project management roles, gaining extensive experience in residential remodeling, hardscape and landscape construction, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor living spaces.
